WEEK 7 - MISSION
The Chilliwack Atom Red Giants improved 3-3 with a close battle against Mission winning 28-24. It was a hard fought game in which both teams played extremely tough with multiple lead changes.
The Giants were lead by player of the game Parker Grant who scored 4 touchdowns and was unstoppable rushing the ball all day. Grant also contributed on defence with and interception and multiple tackles.
Other standout for the Giants included Myles Baker on both sides of the ball, Carson Breland who ran the ball strong and recovered a kickoff form a great kick by Logan Pollard.
Wyatt Knoke and Carson Andres were strong performers on both sides of the offensive and defensive line.
WEEK 6 - ABBOTSFORD
The Chilliwack Atom Red Giants fell to 2-3 on the season with a tough loss against Abbotsford on Saturday.
Abbotsford humped out to an early lead but was answered by Kingston Moran for a long touchdown run. Owen Franklin added the extra point on a successful kick giving the Giants 8 points which is the most points scored against the top team in the atom division.
Other strong offensive performances were Carson Andres and Wyatt Knoke on the line and Parker Grants rushing.
Defensively the Giants were lead by Myles Baker and Carson Breland who made strong tackles all game.
WEEK 5 VS NORTH LANGLEY
The Wallys Towing & Recovery Chilliwack Atom Red Giants played an outstanding game against Langley on Saturday winning 33-20 and improving their season record to 2-2.
The offence was able to run the ball all day behind an amazing offensive line. Wyatt Knoke snapped the ball perfect all day. Owen Franklin and Carson Andres opened huge holes all day and Ben Magwood and Dawson Holdridge lead the way from the pulling guard position. Carson Breland and Myles Baker ran in rushing touchdowns. Parker Grant rand two scores in and also caught a touchdown pass from Kingston Moran.
The defence was also lead by Myles Baker, Owen Franklin, and Parker Grant who had a great games playing both sides of the ball.
Other contributors on the defensive side were solid defensive line play from Linden Vance, Miguel Adamik, Emmanuel Hernandez and Roger Carter. Jackson Carter, Peter Froese, and Ryland Carey played strong from the linebacker position.
Logan Pollard kicked the ball well and solid special teams play from Jack Cahoon and Lochlan Clements.
It was a great overall game for the Red Giants and everyone contributed to the win.
WEEK 3 VS CHILLIWACK BLUE
The Atom Red Giants played the Atom Blue Giants in a hard played game Saturday. The Blue team prevailed in the end 38-18. Parker Grant opened the scoring with a touchdown rush and Kingston Moran throw Grant a touchdown pass. Myles Baker added another touchdown on a long run up the middle.
Defensively Ryland Carey and Carson Breland played strong from the linebacker position. Owen Franklin was named the Red player of the game from the Blue coaches for his strong offensive and defensive line play.
WEEK 2 VS MISSION NINERS
The Chilliwack Atom Red Giants kicked their season off with strong team performance. The Giants won the season opener 34-7 against Mission.
Kingston Moran started the scoring with a long touchdown run. Parker Grant scored 3 touchdowns and Peter Froese scored the other touchdown. The strong running game was lead by dominating offensive line play lead by Dawson Holdridge, Owen Franklin, Wyatt Knoke, and Carson Andres.
Ryland Carey lead the defence attack along with Myles Baker and Carson Breland.
Special teams also contributed with two recovered kickoffs.
CHILLIBOWL - AUG 11
The Wally’s Towing & Recovery Atom Red Giants
Each member on the team played very well. Myles Baker and Peter Froese had interceptions as well as strong defensive performances. Kingston Moran and Carson Breland made some nice runs on the offensive side of the ball lead by a strong performance from the offensive line. Parker Grant had an exceptional tournament leading the way rushing the football and scoring touchdowns as well great tackles on defence. Owen Franklin was the Red Teams most outstanding player for the tournament with dominating defensive and offensive line play.
